What is Under One Flame?
Under One Flame is a persistent online strategy game for Android phones, still in development. In the game as it stands, you build a city, train an army, and fight and capture monsters on a world map shared with other players. It is designed around alliances, which are planned but not built yet; later, the Phoenix and Dragon factions are to go to war over a contested land called the Ashlands. The longer answer is on the About the game page.
Which phones can I play on?
Android phones first; an iPhone version is planned for later. The game is played in its app, not in a web browser.
Is it free?
Under One Flame will be free to play, with optional in-app purchases planned for later; there are no purchases or ads today. There will be no random loot boxes: anything for sale will show exactly what you get before you buy it.
When can I play?
Nobody outside the developer can play yet; a small invite-only closed alpha will come first. We don't give dates; join our Discord server and pick Notify me about testing to hear when there is something to try.
How do I join the closed alpha?
Join our Discord server and pick Notify me about testing when you join (or later, under Channels & Roles); that is the waiting list, and it isn't a promise of a place. Players who know this kind of game well are invited first, and more players follow as the game grows. Invited testers install the test version from Google Play and sign in with their Google account.
Is it multiplayer, and do I have to be online?
Yes to both. Everyone on a server will play in the same persistent world, and you need an internet connection to play. The world keeps going while you are offline, so your buildings finish and your armies reach their targets even when the app is closed.
Do I need an account?
Yes. From the closed alpha on, you sign in with your Google account; there is no separate password. Sign-in with Apple will come with the iPhone version. Other players never see your Google name or email address: in the game you are known by the Lord name you choose.
What are the factions?
The Phoenix and the Dragon. Each has a homeland of its own, and between them lies the Ashlands, where the two go to war. The factions are equal in strength. Joining the war is each player's own choice, and it is for good. The factions and the war come in a later stage of development.
What are alliances?
Groups of players who stand together: they talk in their own chat, help defend each other's cities and fight for ground together. Alliances are at the heart of the game's design, but they are not in the game yet. They come later, and what the testers tell us will shape them.
How old do I need to be?
You must be 13 or older to play.
Who makes Under One Flame?
A solo developer in Sweden. You can write to the developer at support@underoneflame.com.
How do I report a bug or delete my account?
Email support@underoneflame.com. The Support page says what a good bug report includes, and the privacy notice explains how to have your account and its data deleted. Ways to do both from inside the game will come later.
